Help for Families Grieving the Loss of a Child of any age and of any cause.
Welcome to The Compassionate Friends of East Central IL
You need not walk alone. The death of a child of any age, from any cause, is a shattering experience for a family. When a child dies, a family needs emotional support for the long grief journey that lies ahead.
Since April, 2009, The Compassionate Friends of East Central IL has been actively helping families toward the positive resolution of their grief following the death of a child.
“I have been with a support group most of my grief and without it I am not sure I would have made it. I felt all alone and didn't know what to do, but with a support group I was able to talk to other parents who were going through the same thing I was. I am very thankful to have a place to go to talk about my daughter and my feelings and not get judged. Going to a group has helped me so much through my journey in grief.”
